Links materials to your services, straight from your own pricebook.
Your pricebook holds separate books. We only touch the ones you tick.

Straight answers, in ServiceTitan's own terms.
It links materials to services in your ServiceTitan pricebook, in bulk, from your export. It reads every service, finds the ones with no materials linked, and attaches the materials that belong on the job as sub-items, using the materials already in your pricebook. You review the file and re-import it. It works on plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
It uses the materials already in your pricebook, your own vendor materials, and never Pricebook Pro. It links what you have; it does not create materials. So if your pricebook has few or no materials, there is nothing to link yet. Add your materials first, or have them built, then run this.
ServiceTitan gives you two ways. In the pricebook app you open a service and add materials as sub-items, or you bulk-link, but bulk-link adds the same materials to every service you select, so it only helps for identical services like water-heater sizes; the rest is one service at a time. The other way is the Pricebook Excel template, where you fill the ServiceMaterialLinks tab and re-import. Either way, each material means deciding what belongs, finding it among look-alikes, adding it, and setting the quantity, roughly 2 to 3 minutes each. This tool builds the ServiceMaterialLinks import for you with the links already decided, so you review the highlighted rows and re-import.
This is straight from ServiceTitan: Dynamic Pricing applies only to materials linked to services. If a material is not added as a sub-item to a service, the system applies no pricing rules, so you will not see dynamic pricing in the pricebook or on the invoice. Link the materials and the rule prices the service: (billable hours x labor rate) + (material cost x markup) + (equipment cost x markup) + surcharges. See ServiceTitan's Dynamic Pricing Overview.
Yes. Dynamic Pricing uses your pricing rules and the actual material cost, not the static Price fields, so your markup rides on top of the real cost. However the cost moves, you keep your margin instead of eating it. Keep your material costs current from the vendor catalog and every linked service reprices itself.
Yes. When the materials are already linked to the service, a tech who follows the workflow just confirms the job, adds the odd extra, and removes anything not used, instead of hand-adding every part on the ticket. Most of the entry is already done.
Yes. When materials are linked to a service, adding that service to a job brings the material cost with it, instead of the service reading as pure profit. The tech confirms or trims what was actually used, and your job-costing and margin reports reflect it, as long as your material costs are kept current.
Only if your materials are set to replenish. Linking puts the material on the job when the service is used; if that material is set to replenish, using it creates a replenishment document, and from that replenishment document you can create a purchase order in one click for what was used. Linking on its own does not create the PO.
No. It never touches your account. It builds a file with the new ServiceMaterialLinks highlighted; you review them and re-import in ServiceTitan yourself. Nothing changes until you import.
We set them aside. Pricebook Pro is ServiceTitan's managed catalog, not your custom book, so we never link Pro materials into your custom services or count them as materials on the job. See Pricebook Pro vs a custom build.
Not yet. This builds ServiceMaterialLinks, materials to services. ServiceEquipmentLinks is a separate part of the export and a natural next step.
Your ServiceTitan pricebook export, the .xlsx file. Running it and seeing what it will link is free. You pay only to build the finished file you re-import.
